Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Social Value Trust handles personal information when you use this public website or contact us by email.

Effective date: September 23, 2026. This policy may be updated as the website or our information-handling practices change.

Scope

This policy applies to the public Social Value Trust website at socialvaluetrust.org. The website is currently a static informational site. It does not provide user accounts, accept payments, or submit contact information through a website form.

Information We Handle

Information you choose to send us. The website includes email links. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include in that message, such as your name, email address, organisation and the details of your enquiry.

Technical information used to deliver the website. Like most websites, hosting and network providers may process standard request information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and referring URLs.

External web resources. The site uses third-party web infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure for hosting, Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement and Google-hosted font resources. When your browser requests those resources, the relevant provider may receive standard technical request information under its own privacy practices.

Privacy-conscious traffic analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, page usage, referring sources and basic device or browser information. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels or behavioural advertising tools on this public website.

We do not sell personal information or disclose it to third parties for their own marketing.

Some service providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is processed.

Retention and Safeguards

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries, maintaining business records and meeting legal obligations.

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including HTTPS for the public website and access controls for business systems. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Choices and Requests

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask about personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, or withdraw consent for future uses that rely on consent. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate record-keeping purposes.

The public Social Value Trust website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate traffic measurement without analytics cookies. Basic hosting, browser or network functionality may use technical storage or request data necessary to deliver the site. If we introduce forms, advertising technologies or other features that materially change these practices, this policy will be updated.
